Late Night Swim

Two posts in one day? You betcha! Tonight's experience is worthy of its own blog post.

What started out as yet another spontaneous visit to grammy's pool turned out to be an adventure all in its own category. (on a different note) I have always admired grammy's yard, even before the pool replaced most of their lush grass. Tonight I decided I would bring my camera and capture some of the lovely seasonal flowers.

Aren't these lovely?

So back to what I was originally writing on...Tonight's swim was different in so many ways. For one, the fiber-optic light lit up the entire pool as soon as it was turned on. What was even more fun was that it changed colors. I was swimming in green, white, pink, and purple colored water. I was sure I hadn't smiled that large in awhile.

The fire pit was also lit, creating a nice, warm atmosphere. The night sky and torches also added to it, almost giving a Hawaiian feel, though I have never been. I imagined that it would be about like. I thought of Savvy and how she must be enjoying life as she studies at the University of Hawaii. All of this however, only added to my envy. Someday it will be my turn to go to paradise.

Somehow the subject of life after death came up in our (grammy & me) conversation while we swam in the rainbow water. Lately I have been thinking about the gospel and its principals. This in turn has made me think about my choices and I've taken some necessary steps to improve myself. I'm not implying that I'm a bad person, only that there was room to do better. We talked of the plan and baptisms for the dead.

I'm glad that I have such great grandparents-both sides included. They are each strong in the beliefs of the church and are very supportive. Their encouragements are what I appreciate most, along with being able to talk to them about the somewhat touchy subject.
