This is, the part when, I break free.

Skippin' out on regular updates. I'm gettin' good at it.

The rest of April was filled with studying and lots of good times. It felt great to ACE my nutrition final, but I may as well of not taken because...when we all showed up to class that day, she told us that some of us could improve our grade, and for some of us it wouldn't make any difference if we didn't take it. So essentially, I could have just skipped out on taking that exam and leaving with the grade I had, but I didn't. I spent all that time studying for it, so of course I was gonna put my knowledge to the test. Worth it anyway. I felt like I wanted to prove to myself that I learned things.

Spent a few more days with Mel over April and this month. Oh, the things we do. :p Honestly our lame Insta videos are my favorite thing. It's definitely a good way to make memories. We do a lot of singing along in the car and more recently, lip-syncing and dubbing. Combine everything with two crazies, and yeah it's gonna be a good time.

This last time we shopped around for uniforms because she's goin' to work over in Wyoming from now 'til September. So, see ya later I guess. I was sad to hear it, but it'll be lots of fun and good times for her.

It was funny, she just wanted some regular food this time around. Props to her for losing as much as she has in such a short time. So we got some DQ and just whatever else. That day was spent shopping and other errands. I bought hardly anything but it's all good. We also stayed up fairly late watching "Big Eyes" and "The Intruders." I definitely liked Big Eyes better than The Intruders because I was still confused about some plot points. There wasn't a Wikipedia page for me to cheat off of either! Big Eyes is based on real events, so that's always cool.

The next day was spent swimming, in the pouring rain I might add. The weather is pretty unstable around this time of year, I guess. It was sunny around 10 when we went that morning and then there was pouring rain like an hour or so later. Haha I should mention the chlorine content was pretty ridiculous. It bleached her swimsuit white 0.o Mine was ok. And this even after rinsing off immediately after getting out. Crazy. We got real lucky because the backdoor was open so we could use the shower on the first floor to rinse off. Yay, no hoses! We were kinda forced to use the parents' shower since that's the only functional shower in the house. Get me outta here...but it was fun having three shower heads going all at once. Haha. I also bid her farewell yesterday. Not something I like doing but I was alright.

See ya, later alligator. Love you always <3

Then today I was able to go to the GYMMM. Oh I missed that. I realize it's only been like 3 weeks, but I sincerely missed it. It was closed and I didn't have a whole bunch of time to shred. I also got caught up with Harmony.  :) I plan on spending time with her in the summer since she's not too terribly far away. I also begin training for my third job this upcoming week. Really hoping I'll enjoy what I do.

March Madness

April! SpRiNg is here! Actually spring has been around for like a week. And man has it been nice! Honestly I feel like a derp writing these monthly entries sometimes...

Hmm so April has come! Which can only mean finals week is coming again. It's weird. The semester has really gone by in a hurry this time. Thankfully this will be the only semester I have to spend living in the house. As far as construction goes on my 'home' (is what I will call it), the people are really coming along on it. When I last checked the brick was pretty much done and the dry wall was beginning.

So what happened all through March? *looks through Instagram* I think I spent a lot of March catching up with my besties. I had them over for a weekend right after my birthday. Much needed girls' night. Then we have had some random hangouts which were always great :) I had Harmony over the Friday and Saturday of my spring break. Kinda different because Mel wasn't hanging out with us (her mission comp was visiting) but we sure had a good time. I think we spent more time on my four-wheeler than we did anything else. Not complaining. I live right by the "pit" so we had fun on those hills and trails. Documented it.

Honestly I'm glad we both are skilled photographers. It makes life pretty interesting! The memories are an added bonus. Sure had fun with her. I hope I can have more fun times this summer with you and Mel. Harm lives in SLC now and Mel is movin' to St. G around the beginning of this summer. I'll be here in Cedar til Heaven knows when I'm supposed to leave. Probably when I graduate SUU. Haha.

Hmm this month (still referring to March) is when I spilled the entire bag of chocolate icecream at work. Ask me about how funny that was. My coworkers would agree. It took the four of us a half hour to completely clean out the walk-in fridge. We probably could have swam in it. Those bags are five gallons each. How it happened I'm not entirely sure. I went to put the hoses in the silver buckets and proceeded to shut down the machines and when I came back, the fridge contained Wonka's chocolate river. Got a real good laugh out of that.

More recently I visited Sandy's sheep farm here in town. It's shearing time again and he asked me to photograph, which I kindly accepted. Had a good experience and it was pretty interesting to watch.

These are just a few of my favorite shots...

Well I'm hoping to finish out the semester strong. My motivation game is strong as ever, thank goodness. Hoping to have more fun adventures! Cya-

Since I missed February...

February is probably my favorite month for a number of reasons. I like it because it's short, first of all. It's there and then it's gone! It's the month of LOVE, haha. I like valentine's day even if I don't share it with a significant man. The colors I see the most are pink, red, and white. It's a good combo I think. My birthday is the 25th. I actually don't mind having it then because it's exactly two months after Christmas and it isn't a typical birthdate, if ya know what I mean. Did I mention that George's birthday is the same day as mine? Ok, well they say he was born minutes to midnight on the 24th. But I think it's close enough! Now that I know about him and the rest of the fab four, I like my birthdate that much more, haha.

I mean would you look at this cutie??

Awh man, what else do I mention? Honestly it's been a great month minus my grandma's very unexpected passing. I miss her so much. I owe her for not only being able to see Paul play live, but for having the friends I do. She introduced them to me "all those years ago." (that was a song pun). I miss the little things about her the most, I think. Just whatever I wanted, she'd go get it, no strings attached. Lately she was living back here in Cedar in the cutest little apartment over in Three Fountains. We'd go to lunch once a week and sometimes I'd even get a full tank of gas. So free lunch and free gas. Miss that for sure. I remember her just being so kind and upfront about compliments to people. I'm really making progress in being like that too. I love you, rest in peace.

Well this president's day was sure a fun one. Since Mel and Harm have been home from their missions, I have been able to spend some short times with them. They did come here for a few hours a couple of times, but it just wasn't long enough. Haha. So for president's day weekend I spent two and a half days over in Panaca. Went down that Sunday and came back Tuesday morning, which was a little longer than I had planned. The reason why I stayed another night was because I didn't want to drive back to Cedar in the dark, late at night. We spent all of Monday in St. George just shoppin' around and we also met up with Jhena. In N Out sure was good. :) So we got back late that night.

Having mate (mateh) with them. Herbal tea from Argentina.

In the pic above we are experiencing mate for the first time in a unique cup and straw. There are slits in the straw which help to prevent the leaves up going up. The flavor was unlike anything I've ever tasted. Strong, would be an understatement. It was interesting trying to figure out how to properly brew the tea. We pretty much drowned the entire thing in sugar. So that Sunday was well spent. How I missed spending time with them!

So valentine's day was a dud this year. I wasn't expecting anything more, though. I managed at work that day and I don't think I saw a lot of couples to my relief. I just love PDA. Then the next major event of the month was finishing my required papers to begin my internship at the hospital. YAY. I've been handling shots better than I ever have in my life. I think it really helps when you have such a good nurse who understands. So I think I've conquered my fear of shots. This is a big deal. I'm still waiting to hear when I can officially begin. I'm anxious and ever ready!

My birthday this year...hmm I don't know about you but I'm feelin' 22! Hahahah. The day before my birthday snowed and I mean SNOWED all over cedar. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of campus because it looked like a winter wonderland. Pretty. So I did but in the process I lost my phone. I backtracked everywhere I went and had no luck in finding it. Figured someone probably picked it up because it was kind of a giant phone. So I ended up making an insurance claim on it and I got a new one the next day. The color I got was black and I also a new case. Frustrating, but I've come to really like the new one I got.

This last Friday and Saturday I had my friends over. Man was that fun. I needed a GNO!! I went to Panaca to get them Friday after I got out of class. The drive back was much better with them with me. Mostly just sang along in the car. We spent most of the day (from 1-6) shopping around town. Also, Mel got a haircut and it's darling on her. Some subway for lunch and DQ for dinner. A lot of laughs and sillyness in between. Cosmic bowling and finally just some R and R after. Saturday, as in yesterday, was probably the heaviest snow storm I've seen in awhile. So we naturally took advantage of it and did a little photo sesh. Their dad picked them up around 12, but not without a struggle. No one had plowed around my street so there was that and the fact that the house is kind of hard to find.

Today for church was a wonderful stake conference. It certainly kept my attention better than any movie I have watched. To sum it up, it was a very good reminder of what really matters in life and how we can obtain true happiness. Because of God the Father and Christ can we be with our families forever. We also sustained a new stake presidency with my now former bishop being called as the president. I know he will be so incredible. He's done some special things for me and I'll certainly miss him. The speakers were all incredible. Marriage was a heavy topic as were all the things that we need to be doing now. Testimonies were strengthened. Tears shed. I would go to this one again. I hope March is a great month. But as they say you have the choice of how you spend your days.

First Month of 2015

Well last time I wrote it legit snowed for the first time all year. I can honestly say that I'm glad we haven't had any more like that! Lately it's been rainy/foggy. Kinda cool but I sure do miss the sun and Mr. BlueSky.

Well I've had a great month, I think. I worked New Year's Eve and I honestly didn't care. Haha. I didn't have anyone 'special' to spend it with anyway. So I made some money instead. Watched Taylor Swift perform in New York (on tv of course). Shake it off! I and like every other girl I know love 1989. Soooo good for not being country. I've always been a Swiftie fan though.

I was itching for school to start, like I usually do. I just enjoy it that much I guess! I like having a structured schedule and learning things. Mostly I just feel good about being busy and improving myself. This semester I think I have lucked out with really liking my classes. I usually do anyway but this semester I have a bowling class and I get credit for going to the gym. What's not to love?! This is my first season going to the gym. I just never saw the need or the motivation but now that I'm going often, I love it! I like doing a little bit of everything while I'm there.

Let's see, school has been good to me so far. I have Nutrition Assessment, Microec, bowling, gym, institute, and two seminar classes for RHS. I also volunteer as much as I like. I go to Iron Springs Elementary every Tuesday at 8 to administer fluoride to the kids. It's actually pretty fun. I'm also in 4H, where you help school children of a certain age with homework. I have yet to attend to that.

January 28th my friends came back to the United States from South America. You bet I was eager for that day to come. I'll say the couple of days before seemed to be the longest of any day I waited. I had worked a couple of shifts, but that still didn't help much.

I admit I got some anxiety when their dad told me they missed their flight from Atlanta to Salt Lake. I had to wait another 5 hours. It was all good. My parents drove me down to St. G to go meet up with them at the airport, basically clear out in BFE. Hahaha. I had a countdown app on my phone I'd look at multiple times a day, right down to the very last minute. Kinda fun. So after visiting my grandma and having dinner we headed on out. The plane landed about 10 minutes early. I remember standing right up in front by their family and them saying they could see them, but I couldn't! Ahhh. I couldn't stand the anxiety! So I had my camera on video recording all ready to go. Emotional would be the least when they came through the doors. I stood back and watched the very touching reunion. I was almost in tears, but none fell. One of the best days of my life.
