Individualization
I want to talk about this word. In one of my classes we took a strengths finder test. This was one of my what is called "signature themes". What does this word mean? I read that and from what I understood of it is that I am me. No one else is me. No one is just like me-to a certain degree, that is. No two people are exactly alike. I'll use my twin friends for an example: they're identical twins, but have very different personalities. My point is that no two people are the same in every detail. So this test has given me some insight as to what my greatest areas of strengths are. Long story short, I'm beginning to understand as to why I do some of the things I do.
Alright, so a week ago this Tuesday I turned the legal age. 21 big ones. Weird. I don't feel a whole lot different but I know I've come a way! Seems like I learn so much over the years. The day before my birthday was the day I got a card in the mail from the one and only: Melody Anderson. One of my twiners. I was beyond excited, as I'm sure you could guess. I was kinda having a hard day and when I saw that, all my anger just lifted away. I cried a little after reading it the first time. Something I needed.
I don't say this a whole lot, but I need my best friends in my life at all times. If I've ever experienced a broken heart, it's because of them. It's not like a bad thing happened; I realized what I need-them. The best part through all of this is that we are each becoming better and better as the time passes. And I have been told the same thing by them, too. I will consider my life complete if I can find a man that shares that mutual feeling about me like I would him.
Anyways
| 21 and working! Haha oh well. |
My birthday this year was wonderful. I wish Mels and Harms were there though. I have plenty more birthdays to have. Regardless, I still had a great one. My friends surprised me at work with a mini brownie with candles! How sweet are they? My mom me and grammy went to Vegas just yesterday and partayed! Super fun. We shopped TONS in st. g before we even hit vegas. TJ Max is wonderful for two hundred thousand reasons. I got some memory foam rugs that are fabulous. And a TP holder-teehee. Oh, but the best was at the Mirage in Vegas. The original plan was to go see the Beatles LOVE by cirquedesolei, but 100 bucks a ticket wasn't too inviting...so instead I got to go to the Beatle boutique. And about two hundred bucks later, I was super happy! I got like three shirts and a really neat bag :)
So there ya have it! Had a wonderful birthday turning 21. :) Oh by the way, slots were fun, but not really worth it! Haha. Happy Missionary Monday in the morn!
