Alright. I'm gonna sit down and write all this. Last time I wrote in increments of over a week and not one of the paragraphs were saved.

Anyways.

When I wrote last, it was December 8th. And man was I excited it was December. Now it's nearly New Year's Eve. It's been a great year. It's times like these where I hug myself for taking pictures because then I can remember all the major events.

Christmas was as always, good with a few surprises. I got mostly clothes and makeup with some accessories for my gadgets. The first being my otterbox for my ipad. YAY. I was getting SO sick of my other case. That being just so worn out. The other thing I got was Lightroom 4. Yeeeeeah. Upgraded my photo editing software, now I just need to upgrade my camera. :) It'd be nice to get a D5100. Even a D3200 would have me jumping for joy. I reeeeeallly want a DSLR. My besties also surprised me with what they got for me. Didn't see any of it coming, either. I need to take pics of my new car interior and my shirts and earrings. As always, you're awesome. :)

Otterbox :) I'm in love

This came as a complete surprise to me

Lovely photo editing software
The last few major events of my life include the institute closing social, getting a pet dog, conquering my finals, and karaoke night at Applebees.

The closing social was too much fun. I got to meet up with some old friends and basically had the time of my life. We were served soups, bread and cakes from the Little Brick House for dinner. Dancing was awesome-even the slow ones. Luckily the songs were ones I knew pretty well, so I was able to dance right along to them. After that we watched Elf at the historic theatre across the street. The social was held at the Heritage Center behind Lin's.

Cute, if it wasn't blurry
So, yeah we got a pet dog. And I got to name her. I chose Daisy because it was honestly what came to mind when I first met her. It was funny because I was sitting on my bed one day when I saw her through my window walking around in our backyard. At first I wasn't sure what to think but when I asked Prada he said that dad brought her home from Beaver and that we didn't know who she belonged to. She did have a blue plaid collar, but from what I heard she was picked up by my grand fatha adopted her from their neighbors, who picked her up from the pound. Kind of complicated. Anyway she's friendly and a lot of fun to have around with us, minus the time when she's cornering our kitty.

The last week of school really wasn't stressful for me. That is, until Friday came along. My two finals weren't until then. The previous days before, I was pretty much care-free and cherished my time off. I did study, a little bit. As the day came closer, I did step it up a few notches. My first test began at noon and I and the majority of the class finished within forty-five minutes. I felt pretty stupid because that was the final I freaked out the most on. When I actually sat down to take it, it wasn't too bad. Still, I was kind of pissed when I saw my grade I got on it. My next exam was an hour later, so I went back to Dairy Queen and got some more lunch. My chemistry exam was a lot easier than I anticipated it would be. I also finished within forty five minutes. After I hurried down to Fiddler's theatre so I could watch the Hobbit with my besties and their family since their dad kindly bought my ticket. After that I was invited to go to Chilli's with them. Pretty great way to end the semester I think.

Now that it's New Years, I do have a couple of goals I'd like to accomplish. Tithing is mostly all I have in mind right now. And I'd like to be a better student, and that means I need to study everyday instead of just once in awhile. Tonight we plan on going to the New Year's Eve dance, so hopefully we have lots of fun there, too!

FINALLY! :D :)

Holy shirt. It's December. I guess I should really write more than I already do. BUT hey I try to get on here when I'm not running at a million miles per hour. Or I'm not sleeping or hanging with my friends. Or at school. Or work. Or Church. Hahah I think you get the point.

Thanksgiving

So let's see here...The last part of November ended well, I think. I had a fabulous thanksgiving even though it was rather quiet this year. There was just my immediate family, my grammy, gragrole, dan, and my five cousins plus my great grandma Webster. I will admit it was a little emotional when my uncle Dan gave the prayer. He basically dedicated it to the family in regards to being able to feel comforted through the holidays. I miss pa. Too much. I can't even imagine how grammy feels. I do what I can to help her out and I like to spontaneously visit her too.

Right before thanksgiving was when we paid our annual visit to a Jazz game. Before that we spent pretty much all day at City Creek and did a little shopping around. :) Fortunately our boys creamed the rockets. All in all, a really exciting game to be at.

@ Temple Square
I'd say that most of my Christmas is prolly gonna come from that shopping trip. I went in a store called Love Culture and never in my life have I ever seen so many shoes. Kelly would love that! Haha. (shoes from youtube. Look it up). Got a wallet and a belt from Vans and a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt from AE. That was my first time there and man was I impressed. It was like, a brand new version of the gateway, but like a thousand times prettier.

Oh my dang. It's December 8th today. We are less than 20 days away from Christmas! ...which also means finals are this week. I'm praying I'll do good on each of them, particularly my natural hazards/disasters final. I'm grateful they're all on friday so I at least have the week to study.

Faces... :p

Yeeeeah boi

I Don't Know About You

Idk about you...but for me this month has definitely been one of the best yet. :) Needless to say, it's been filled with many fun times. Halloween was probably one of the best I have ever had. I dressed as a hipster...and didn't even have to spend anything. Haha so I guess you could say I'm a natural. The only thing I had to get were my glasses. I went to school dressed like that too. The entire time I wore my glasses I felt like I was ten feet tall. I got them from my grammy. They were her dad's...making them about a thousand years old. Pretty legit, I'd say. But yeah they had a slight prescription in them so that was probably why I felt "high" all that day. Hahahahah.

Me and Chris. Excuse my awkward pose. :)
Then there was the Fall Formal dance the institute hosted again this year. I hadn't asked anyone before so it was a new experience. I finally had an excuse to pull out my old prom dress I wore almost two years earlier. AH MAN. I was just glad it still fit the same. That was probably the most fun I'd ever had at a dance. Definitely more fun than high school dances. At college I feel like I don't have to impress anyone, really. Did anyone else feel like they were inferior to that "one group"? Anyway it was hosted out by the airport, more specifically known as Kitty Hawk Drive. It was Wonka themed. Some couples went all out and wore top hats and carried around canes. The decorations were all cutesey and had a nice atmosphere. I tripled with my friends and got to drive my mom's Acura. WHAT? :) It was rather interesting trying to drive that while I was dressed the way I was.

At DQ we dress up on Halloween
Last night was their first time to Off the Cuff. And man it did not disappoint! Before we hung out for like an hour in my kitchen. We paid a visit to Chevy. Would've gone to the Ghetto but they were out of strawberry Nakeds. I totally would have bought another bear claw but I had one earlier that day. We found out that night NOT to buy the protein Nakeds. Throw up in a bottle. hahaha. Don't get this Naked!

Back to OTC...yeah pretty much the most hilarious night ever. They perform every friday night at ten right by IFA and Big Lots. It's convenient they have their own pad now. Before when I used to go all the time it was located inside the Crystal Inn. Now the building feels a lot more like a comedy club with the stage and red curtains behind. Sooo worth the five bucks to get in. It's the kind of funny that you get a headache from, but in a good way. :) When I came home my cheeks were sore from laughing. SORE! hahaha.
Just me handling a chainsaw.
My two most favorite holidays are finally just around the corner! Yupp Christmas and Thanksgiving. And no it's not about all the food. It's something about the cooler weather and the family get-togethers. I just like it! For Christmas this year I'm wanting some jeans, lightroom 4, an otterbox for my iPad, socks (yes socks I NEED those :), and some pillows. Like the kind you get from Costco. They're reeeeeally nice.

I could not be more excited for this semester to be over. It's been real, it's been fun. I just need it to be over with. I'm just ready for a nice, long break and some new classes. I'm particularly stoked for next semester. I finally get to take a legit nutrition class! And wouldn't ya know? I have Schmidt!

Another Fall Formal Picture
Smile like ya mean it! :D
Well I get to head up north this week. Maybe I'll get to see Garret! That'd be nice. He's a fun guy. :) We're goin' Christmas shoppin and watching a Jazz game. Don't disappoint me boys!

Don't ask.

Looking Back Moving Ahead

I never know how to start these things.

Right now I'm looking back on this month and I realize it's been hard, to say the least. A lot has happened in my life. Things especially with relationships. There have been a lot of challenges. At times I have felt helpless, miserable, and may or may not have hit an all time low. Lately I have been feeling sorry for myself for everything that has happened even though none of it was ever my fault. Sometimes I feel like I just care too much and maybe I shouldn't. I can't stop, though. It's who I feel like I am and I feel that's what is right.

In a way I'm thankful for not only these challenges, but with all challenges in life. It reminds me how strong I am (and can be). It brings me closer to my Savior. I don't think I have prayed that strong in my life before these things happened. From this I was reminded of the power of prayer. I consider it one of the greatest blessings because it allows us to directly communicate with our Father in Heaven who knows each of us better than we know ourselves. He knows what is best for us and will help us if we but ask. I know I wouldn't be able to deal with day to day life the way I do had it not been for the church. I am grateful to be the active member I am because it brings me more happiness that I ever could myself. One day I will share my happiness with whoever needs it most. I will serve a mission.

After stake conference today, I became inspired to challenge myself. I will not forget the words of our stake president, Crankshaw as they stood out to me more than the heart-felt testimonies. That is that it is our purpose (but our choice) to live like His son. Now I wish I would have taken some notes because everything he and the other speakers said were truly one of inspiration to me. I think now at my current life and I realize that there are some things that need to change. I know I'm not perfect. I over react at times. I'm too impatient with things and sometimes I'm a little over emotional. Life isn't going to get any easier. All you can really do is be your true self and stay true to what you believe in. Put your best foot forward. Be an example to those around you.

Friday was when I went to our yearly adventure to Tuachaun in St. G. to watch Thriller at the Odyssey Dance Theatre. It did not disappoint. :) After taking my geology exam, I came home and watched Dr. Phil with my parents for like an hour before leaving. We stopped by the mall and my dreams came true of owning boots! Thanks, Forever Young Shoes. :) I cannot wait for Christmas now. That seems so far away...We ate at a new italian restaurant by the mall called Buca. They have probably the largest pasta sized portions you'll ever see in your life. They're famous just for that. Food was awesome of course.

Chicken Saltmabocca :)

Loved. Loved. Thriller! Never ceases to amaze me. :) Of course we got creeped on. If you don't, then it's not any fun. I happen to really get a kick out of it.

Holy dang. A month since I last posted? What happened, may I ask?

A lot.

*Warning: some major venting will follow, read at your own risk.

*So basically like everyone seems to be getting married right now. My co-worker Jenny, JaCoy is now engaged, and like half of my graduating class. It's weird to me to think that considering we've only been out of high school for a little over a year. But then I get jealous b/c for one, I have never had a bf, let alone a good guy friend in my life. Okay minus the time when I was like eight or nine. I hung out with Justin almost everyday since he lived next to my grammy. Anyway! I'm just thinking sometimes that it really isn't fair that I haven't had that experience. I don't know. Then I think that my time will come, blah blah. But for now it just sucks. Thank goodness for friends.

I went up north a little past Kaysville for my great-gma's 90th birthday. The party itself was kind of awkward though. I mean, I haven't seen those guys in like fifteen years. I felt pretty out of place til I got to know Alisha. She's one of those people who become your best friend right when you meet them, almost like you have always known them even though you just met them. Anyway. She kept me sane while I was there. Yeah, she's married too. (K sorry I'll stop). We probably stayed there for much longer than I had originally anticipated. By that I mean more than two, three hours. By the time we left, I was feeling very tired, bored and frustrated. On the bright side, my momma and I stopped to grab a bite to eat at In n out. My mood jumped ten points then.

The next day was much better; we went to the mall :) There I acquired my first ever curling iron from Sephora. It's a T3 and I love it :) Then I got a sweet jean shirt and a maroon tank top from American Eagle. I love the way I feel when I wear it. Is that weird? Oh well. Hot Topic was rather entertaining; I got a No Doubt black T and laughed as I looked at everything else. There was a shirt that said Cool Story Bro, Tell it Again. Needless to say that was a much more pleasant experience.

I honestly had to look through my Facebook timeline to remember exactly what I've been up to. I know right? I guess that thing actually serves a purpose. I got a calling in my ward; I'm in the activities committee now. So basically I get a say in what activities are planned and such. Kind of excited even though I haven't done anything. Hanging out with my friends is the norm. We go to institute on Mondays and Wednesdays at nine and hang out some more after til I have my eleven o clock class. Yesterday we basically did a mini shopping spree, stopping at DownEast, Crown Couture and [Re] Cycled. Being dirt poor as I am right now, I didn't bother bringing my wallet. Harmony got a (in my opinion) very cute pink dress with a floral design. I'm impressed because she now owns something pink! Haha. Melody and I got free belts from Crown. Yeah...free belts. They're actually pretty cute too.

I have to say that fall break could not have come at a better time than now. So ready for this. We're going to St. G. on monday. :) Shoppin' trip with best friends has been something I have always wanted.  Not my number one, though. That I now have, for the time being. And that's best friends. Those best friends you hang out with everyday and never get tired of each other's company. I never knew they'd be so important to me when I met them ten years back. It's still a wonder to me how we met up all these years later. Either way, I'm forever thankful.

As far as everything else is...I'm honestly just keepin' up with class, work, personal life, and my family and friends. It's easier said than done, for sure. I don't know how I find the time to do everything, but I do. I stand firm in believing that once a person makes God the center of their life, everything else falls into place. Things work out. Miracles happen.

Thanks whoever reads these lame posts :) Haha I don't know who you are, but it means a lot.

Thank You!

It's Friday. Thank you. Scratch that. Reverse. I actually dread Fridays. Yup. It's 'cause I work Friday night. Oh the humanity.

This weekend I have leadership training. 11 am sharp and lasts for three hours. THREE. I just hope it will all be worth it. And then after that I work at five. So that means I'll probably be getting off at eleven since I don't have to close! :) Then church...should be interesting since it's the temple dedication. We have the option of 9, 12, and 3. I wonder what we will be attending to. And by we I mean me, Mike and whoever else he's going to party with.

(Read the next part in Jimmy Fallon's voice) K, so I've had like, an amazing week. I added like a ton of songs to mah music collection. (okay enough-back to normal)

I watched Jimmy Fallon on "Ew" with channing tatum. (I think?) Anyway could not stop laughing after he said diet Mountain Dew...Ew! xp Also saw "Who's Line is it Anyway" for the first time and needless to say what I thought of it. Easily entertained. The thank you notes by Fallon... :D

Thank you...best friends. First of all for being my best friends. Seriously. I have never had anyone so loyal, kind, inspiring and just amazing as you two. We don't even have to try very hard and we still have the funnest times. I love you! :) ...also for putting up with me and my complaints. It's a party in institute with you.

I love chemistry. Is that weird? I don't think it is. I mean, have you seen some of the demonstrations that professors do??? Dang. I'm basically majoring in it since I'm studying nutrition. I have to take all kinds of chemistry...including the dreaded organic chemistry. (Insert scary music here).

English class is really starting to grow on me. By grow I mean I'm beginning to like it more and more. I do enjoy writing...what I want to. The next topic is on student rights and freedoms in colleges. Ew! Since we've talking about it in our student groups, the essays are starting to become clearer. And the fact that Nick is in my group is a plus. :D I started talking to him about nutrition classes since it's something we both like. He's a freshman taking the 1020 class from Necia. We somehow related that to the essays we were analyzing and it began to make more sense. The people who write these essays are like Greek to me.

Well, hopefully everything will turn out. By everything I mean tonight at work. I really don't need another repeat of Tuesday. I don't know who actually reads my posts, but thanks to those of you that do!

Later!

It's a Date =]

Like the title suggests, I went on a date. Last night. Institute announced the annual date night again last Sunday in church and wouldn't ya know, I went again! :) It was about the same thing as last year; they had us drive to the bottom of the "C" trail and hike to an unknown location with yellow ribbon markers. This time around, the date was done correctly-because last year it was just us hiking down in the dark by ourselves. Yup, round two was with Mike :)

It was mostly us and Chris his brother and his date, Megan Taylor. Chris is in my institute class and serves as the president. I had not really talked to him that much before so while we hiked, I talked briefly and got to know him. The trail was kind of a killer with such a steep incline. I was able to keep up nonetheless. I'm going to say this now, and that's a shout out thank you to Scott who let us have his Gatorade when we didn't bring any water. That Gatorade saved our lives. In case you're curious, we did get lost. Again. But only for a second because this guy who was "following" us told us everyone had made a turn off around three hundred feet back. ...Why did he follow us and not tell us that??? Whatever. I got some cool pictures because of our little turn off.

By the time we got to the final destination we had met some new faces and nearly eaten the ground. There came a point where I thought for sure one of us was going to when we walked down the hill side. It was the kind where you had to bend forward and go slowly to keep from falling over. For dinner they served us deli sandwiches, water, chips, and otter pops. I have to say the view from where Mike and I sat was pretty. The sun was setting over the city of which you could see. It over looked the deep canyon below us.

Mostly we talked about things that had happened during the year. And by us I mean mostly me. I told him about Jess's BBQ and freaking Randall. To my surprise he knew about Jess and he was well familiar with Randall. There's just something Mike that allows me to be myself when I'm with him like I am with my best friends. That's something that I usually don't get from a lot of guys.

After the sun had gone down, we walked or rather ran down the rest of the trail back to the truck in the dark. On the way I got some people to take our pictures and I had the opportunity to do the same for them. Thankfully we didn't eat it on the way down. :) Walking aways farther down, we ended up at the end of the street that goes past the tower and walked almost all the way back when a guy named Chris (I think) gave us a ride in the bed of his truck.

The ride home was quiet. I somehow brought up the fact that I wouldn't be doing anything for the rest of the night. So we hung out some more at his house. There I met his mom (awkwardly) and talked with Chris some more. We had quite the time trying to figure out what was the matter with Chris's macbook air b/c the internet was all screwy. After the eventual figuring it all through, Mike and I watched Youtube videos upstairs in their theatre room. "Everything's Okay Now" was the best. He hadn't seen Julian Smith videos before. I watched "Practical Jokesters" which is a group of four guys that dare each other to do stuff. The one we watched was the one where they went to a buffet and took food off of peoples' plates. The most food taken won.

After that we watched "Matilda" and I really liked it! :) Thank goodness for Netflix. By the time I got home it was around 12:50 ish. That was one of the best nights I've had this year. :D
